Morgan and Chris were married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the Lace House in Columbia, South Carolina on a perfect winter day (that wasn’t too wintery at all). I had the great pleasure of second shooting this wedding with my mother-in-law, Kim of W2 Photography. Morgan’s family lives in Columbia, SC but she and Chris actually live in Hawaii! I’m trying not to be jealous but it’s really hard. We loved how they incorporated the leis into their wedding attire. My mom and step-dad were married at the Lace House too so it holds a very special place in my heart!
This gorgeous house and gardens are situated on the grounds of the Governor’s Mansion Complex and are perfectly maintained. From the beautiful ironwork that resembles lace on the exterior to the gold accents on the interior, everything about the Lace House is picture perfect. The jewel tone colors that Morgan chose for her wedding complement the interior of the house so well. The deep teal table cloths with the gold accents look like something out of a fairy tale.
Morgan had such a perfect first look with her girls on one of the upstairs porches. Their reaction is priceless and it makes me smile to look at the photos and remember the excitement. After the beautiful ceremony, we took some of my favorite photos of the day during their bride and groom sunset portraits.
As some of the guests snuggled under the super soft blankets that Morgan and Chris provided, others danced the night away under the market lights. We sneaked away during the reception to capture the very last image of the post and it is one of my favorite night shots of my life! So thankful to have had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful wedding! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Pearson!
